So much to witness, so little time…and that’s just this car!

This exquisite antique, this decomposing automobile, this evanescent roadster and elegant jalopy held my attention for quite a while, as you surely know by now, with its seemingly infinite possibilities for my lens. Here is another round. The colors are pushed to their limit, and I love how that process highlights the textures and terrains of the fabrics used to create it, that have since degraded into something both man-made and quite natural at the same time. It makes us look differently at something perhaps very familiar. I like that.

Whilst in the Poconos, I came upon what I initially thought was a Model T, despite its being white. Through the lens, I discovered my error. It’s a beautiful antique and an invitation for myriad photos to be taken. You’ll see some (Lightroomed) examples here and in the coming days.

I was recently in the Poconos Mountains of Pennsylvania and there was so much to indulge in, visually. After a final flourish of color, Nature strips down to her skeletons for the winter to come, when she keeps it at a minimum. And surfaces and the insides of things attract my attention—perhaps especially the skeletons that bear the weight. But you already know that.
Then I returned home and started playing around in Photoshop (as well as in the usual Lightroom) and these are the results from the first day of improvising. Some of its charm (the software’s, that is…) is more obvious in some pictures more than others.
To come will be photos in a variety of charms. I hope you enjoy them.
